In the datasheet, the UPP is not listed as a supported interface on the expansion connector.  Is that true?

UPP

UPP interface is supported. All the UPP signals are existing on the External Interface connector. But all of the UPP signals are multiplexed with either the LCD or the VPIF signals. So you will really have to do some work to get it working.
