The figure on the right shows the flow field generated due to application of electric field across the ends of a microchannel. The channel is 250 microns wide and 10 volts is applied over a length of 2mm in order to simulate the flow resulting at the corner. The arrow plot shows that the flow velocity is high near inside corner and low near outside corner. This is also reflected in the electric field variations near the corners as plotted in the adjustment figure. similarly electrokinetic flow in a network of channels can also simulated.
